This quintessential American dessert is fast and easy to prepare. To the purist who can whip her own cream and bake a fantastic shortcake from scratch, we salute you. But this version is offered in the spirit of convenience.

We only suggest that you use the freshest strawberries available as they are the star of this show.
 
Ingredients

  1 pint fresh strawberries, rinsed and sliced
  1 package of shortbread cups
  1 can of whipped cream or tub of cool whip

Instructions

Fill each shortbread cup with a generous helping of fresh strawberries and smother with whipped cream. It’s that easy!

Fun Variations

Toss in some blackberries, raspberries, and/or blueberries.
